The only way I know to save programs that are on the DVR is to connect a recorder between the DVR and TV then "watch" the program while recording it. There does not seem to be anyway to dub directly to a hard drive.

Thank you. Interesting how those things work. Not sure what I expected the reason was but that was not it :-)

Thanks Danielle6. I tried doing this just now with a program that has several episodes. It took a bit more than just clicking on the record to get the info but I was able to get to some more info by clicking on edit and then a particular episode in the list of ones to record which really helps. Thanks so much for your help. Just curious but does anyone have any idea why t...

I do not want to record a program. I just want to know when a particular episode is going to be on.

Thanks, I wasn't looking to browse by channel number. You can do that on the main guide. I was just hoping to see what channel a program is on that is listed in the date/time sort since some shows are on multiple channels. But my main question is how do you see when a program that is listed in the season sort is going to actually be on. As I said it seems if an episode is...

I have a website guide question. There have recently been some upgrades that seem like they should make searching for upcoming shows easier but I still can't seem to find times and dates. When I find a program and then go to "All Episodes" I can click the Watch on TV button and Sort by Season to find a particular episode. I then go to Sort by Date & Time to find when that...

Recently at night when I try to record a program using the DVR which has been hooked to this receiver since I got the system a couple years ago, I will see a floating DTV logo instead of the recorded program. Somethings the logo is there for the whole record time and other times it appears during the program. This does not seem to happen during the day and I do not see th...

Thanks, I have tried this and will now have to wait til the next time the program should come up to see if it works. After I clicked on cancel it said that I had cancelled this showing so I am not sure if it cancelled just the one time or the whole series. I will post as soon as I know. Thanks for the help.

I finally broke down and called Directv for an answer to this and was told that there is no way to cancel reoccurring manual auto-tunes after you set them. So if you use this feature to set up an auto-tune for a whole season of a show you will have to delete the auto-tune each week when it shows up again and again. The only way to avoid this is to set the individual auto-...

Receivers with autotune do not have a playlist. Autotune just changes to that channel a a particular time.

Doing that deletes that day's autotune but does not delete the series. The next week the same autotune reappears.

I have an H24 receiver. Once I set up a manual autotune for a certain program I can not see a way to delete this at the end of a season. How do I delete a manual autotune?
