Hi, shannon1. Thanks for replying. The Genie is connected to phone line so I could use that for PPV ordering. Seldom order PPV, though. My desktop is much better this morning. Works about like it usually does. My router's wireless indicator light is almost constantly flashing even when receivers are turned off. Thanks again. Bye

Hi. Install was 3 days ago. I had problem with Genie yesterday. Blank screen and long waits(minute or longer) for channel to appear when changing channels. Did reset by unplugging Genie for 15 seconds, then plugging it back in. Seems to be OK for now. Also have an H25-700 HD receiver only. Installer connected CCK to wireless internet router. Now my desk top is much slower...

Hi, dcd. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my questions. I am beginning to think I need the GENIE only and maybe an SD receiver as a backup. It takes three days or so to get a replacement receiver if the GENIE has a major problem. I will have the Directv Protection Plan, which I suppose is smart to have after the 90 day warranty expires. Hi. My install date is less than 2 weeks away. It is currently set to include the GENIE and 1 MINI CLIENT. But because of all the issues with mainly the CLIENTS, I have been considering changing my order to just the GENIE only (no Clients) or switching to the Directv Plus HD DVR and maybe even adding a standard receiver as a backup (supposed to be free).
