Sure: 1. Depending on your locations you need LOS (Line of sight.) Basic Azmuth (North south east west), and elevation (Up and down.) http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/customer/dishPointer.jsp To locate satellites from your home. 2. Take your mount, and find location (From Ladder) on roof, that has good LOS. 3. Attach mount to roof with Bishops tap/silicone/roof calk to seal ...

If they broad cast the game in 480i it will not upchange to 1080P it just can't. a HDTV will make it look better, but if the signal is in 480I thats it... You might have to call DTV to as them about the channel to see if specific games are broadcasted in 480I. I know its listed as a HD channel but....

So you paided a custom service charge for a second active line, so if you wanted to swich the box to a different location you could? And Yes DTV dose allow this as a custom service charge, the line just needs to be terminated. (little silver cap over outlet.) It could be classified as unusuall because most people do not want to pay for the extra line, or the system config...

@ DCD: Im not tring to pust people away from DIY, and I know that service calls are sometime 2 weeks away, I am trying to help, but I am also learning what issues people have so I can correct it when I get a call from HO that I installed, I might be able to help them out vs a $50 service call w/ 2 week wait time. But I also try and prevent liablity to the HO, and say it m...

Also if you want 1Gbit speed you might look into Cat7 more pricey but worth it. If you use cat6 for 10Gbit speed you have to cut your runs to less that 50 ft, and be prepared for Alien cross talk... (Just slows the system down a bit.) NAS, NAPrinter, and other thing could be incorporated.

To OP if you want SWM 16 (So you can have 16 tuners.) you have to have an SL5 4 port lmb (Legacy.), SWM16 Switch, and a few SWIM splitters. the system is legacy till it hits the SWM16 switch and then it becomes a SWiM System. Its currently the only way DTV can do this unless you want two dishes on your roof for 8 tuners each. A good rule of thumb on this is not to hide sp...
