If you plug an Ethernet cable into the DVR it will kill your whole home.

Go to each receiver. Press and hold the info button for 7 seconds. Select more system info and page down until you get to the IP address. The first 6 numbers is all I need.

Much to my chagrin they've changed the app screen. I used to have Baltimore Orioles and Va Tech listed on my apps page. When I'd clicked on them it would tell me when they played and even what channel it was on. But even before there was only a select few apps you could use.

I have a tendency to agree with junior73 on the dB drop issue. I've rarely seen a SWiM 16 that didn't have issues (776,775, or 771 messages) when you exceed 12 or 13 tuners.

peds48 is right you'll need to have a installer come out and pull a cable to your router to connect the DECA. Unfortunately there will be a charge for that. You're ISP should reimburse you for that.

Yes there are wireless clients, but only for the HR-44's AND (notice the big and) all the conditions in the home have to be right.

Last time a ran across this issue, I had the person completely (and I mean completely) uninstall Directv2pc. You have to find every instance of it in all folders. Then reinstall it and it should work. You, like him, probably got a bad download.

Most AT&T ISP issues revolve around U-Verse and the NVG510 gateway. The most likely cause is the powerline adaptors and some type of interference. Honestly I'd check if you're upgrade eligible and have them install a Broadband DECA along with your upgrade.

Why should he have done it then? If you have no receiver going into that room why put the extra load on the system to just possibly cause issues. Besides all they are required to do is hook up the receivers where you signed off that they were ok in those locations.

If you need all 4 other TV's sometimes you'll need to call within 7 days of the install and have them do a correction order and change 1 to a H25.

Remember you can only run 3 clients at a time. If you turn on a fourth it's gonna bump one.
