Keep in mind those sales people work on commission and many of them are not actual DirecTV employees. As long as there is bad weather there will always be some sort of signal interruption. Light to moderate rain no. Sorry but there is no way to 100% guarantee the signal don't go out. Unless you can figure out how to control mother nature! Sent from my Galaxy S®III

If you have a 771 in a light rain then call in when it's actually happening. We can check your zip code to make sure the rain isn't an issue in your area, run a system test and get you set up with a service call. Sports actually broadcast a tad better in 720p. 1080i is best for regular tv viewing. News, sitcoms, etc etc. Fast paced things like sports and action movies need the lower resolution. Also try unchecking the 1080p box if you're planning on doing pay per views. It tends to give you audio with no video or just a gray screen or even a mode not supported. Also check your set...

Loves, I actually work in tech support, and unfortunately, when the techs are backed up, this is why-- when there is rain, the techs have to cancel the service calls that were already scheduled. Then they have new calls coming in after storms for searching for satellite issues. So when you add the new calls with the rescheduled calls, BAM. Now they are behind a week. And ...
