Well, there's still a handful of PPV 3D movies on channel 104 (current count: 4). It's the final death throes for sure, though. Not even sure why they bother unless they have some contractual obligation to include these. Glad I've got a DVR full of 3D shows…I guess it's now a museum of curiosities from a bygone era.

And with little fanfare, 3net has died a quiet death on August 12, 2014. Boo! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3net I guess when you continuously replay the same shows on a 2-week loop for 3 years, in addition to preventing viewing unless 3D equipment is attached (even though it would require no technical magic to simply show only the left or right frame), viewership declines...

I run searches for upcoming 3D content every weekend (been a customer since August 2013), and I've never seen any 3D movies come up in any of the premium channels like HBO, Starz, etc. Channel 107 3net offers a decent mix of 3D programming, although there's a lot of recycled content. If you want to watch 3D Hollywood movies, expect to pay with DirecTV. For what it's worth...

Like peds48 says...very doubtful. After some consideration, it occurred to me that the free on-demand 3D content from HBO, Starz, etc. that I used to enjoy from Bright House will probably never make it to DirecTV because it would cut into DTV's own potential revenue stream from the PPV 3D movies they offer on channel 104 (CINE3D). So if you want to watch 3D Hollywood movi...

Thanks for confirming. I'm enjoying 3net, but it's a shame that after the demise of n3D, DIRECTV hasn't stepped up its game to allow access to the On Demand 3D movies available to HBO & Starz subscribers elsewhere. The 3D movies available on CINE3D 104 are pretty scant.

I recently switched from Bright House, whose HBO On Demand programming included 3D content...around 4 or 5 movies on a regular rotation. It appears that DIRECTV does not offer any HBO On Demand 3D content (or I can't find it if it exists). Can anyone confirm if that's true?
