I called customer "support" on Saturday to have my service terminated on March 1. I explained to the CSR that due to my wife having cancer and the building medical bills we need to save where we can. We are moving on March 1 to a cheaper house where we get "free" cable. After being told I will have to pay $140 for 7 months remaining on my contract I was told they would se...

Been downloading a movie now for 2+ hours and only at 50%. It is not an HD. My speed test results are between 17.9-20.1. Not really "on demand" if I have to plan a download 6 hours before I want to watch a movie.

THANKS. That should make the install very easy as the line from the dish passes directly over the wall the TV is on.

Thanks for the quick reply. I found the splitter, it's in the wall in the bedroom. So, here's another question. Can the line be split twice?. I ask this because the line from the dish goes over the garage and if I split it there its an easy job. If not, then I have to either put a 4 way over the garage and run another line for the LR, or replace the 2 way splitter with a ...

I want to add a third receiver to my DTV setup. When Directv set up the 2 rooms this is what they did: Slimline oval dish, SWM SL3S4NR2-01 LNB, only 1 coax hooked up, but 2 ran from dish to ground block. SWM ODU and H21-200 in living room. HR24-100 in bedroom. What is the easiest way to add a 3rd receiver to the garage? The dish is mounted on a garage wall if that makes a...

I have had DTV since 2001, and over the years the one thing that has NEVER changed is how LOUSY the remote are! You have to point it at the receiver "right between the eyes" so to speak. I have had TV and cable remotes I could point at the ceiling and it (the tv or cable box) would respond, DTV, I might as well just walk over to the the box!

After 2 defective non-hd dvr's, (2nd one lasted 2 hours), I put the HD receiver back on the HD TV, and noticed the picture looks like GARBAGE. Diagonal lines, blurry picture. Non-hd DVD looks 10x better. Tried swapping cables and inputs with same results. Is there a way to bypass the multiswitch to see if that is the problem. I know it can be done on the old 19" dish, jus...
