So you are saying rg-59 cable doesn't go bad? Are you kidding me do you work from a computer or do you work in the field? If you've never seen 59 cable go bad you must not see much field time.

How is your directv box connected to the Internet? Are you using a cinema kit or is an Ethernet cord plugged directly into back of box? Also, do you have "whole-home Dvr" at your house? If you are directly connected with Ethernet and you have multi room viewing (whole home Dvr) then those 2 networks will conflict with each other and knock each other off. On any Swm/whole ...

Box in other room with snowy picture sounds like its on the wrong input. Nothing on DTV will display a snowy screen. Only thing that Can do that is your TV being on a regular cable channel like 23 or something. Find the source/input button on your remote or tv. Cycle through inputs and one of these should be your correct input. What model box is it? High def or standard d...

Screw the fitting off and check the inside of the barrel on the wall plate. What color is it? Does look really worn down or dirty? Also check the Inside of the fitting cable. Is the copper center conductor sticking out past the end of fitting? Is the white part on inside of fitting flush and tight with fitting? Finally is their any writing on fitting or cabling with speci...

Litz has some really good suggestions on the tests but your issue isn't a software or hardware issue in my opinion. The only part On receiver that can be bad with this problem is the tuner or the b-band converter on back of receiver (since its HD channels being affected). I have a few tips if you want to bust a few tools before making the call. Use a screw driver to take ...

Signal strenght is not your issue here, that's looks fine. I feel it could very well be bad wiring if not the tuner on the receiver going bad. You do have the oldest model of the present generation of HD receivers. It could be likely it's going bad. But also could be bad cable connection (cut in line, bad barrel/wall plate, bad fitting, etc) , or an older rg59 cable was u...

I confirm with others that dish is horribly out of alingment. A few twists in the right direction and it should all jump up to 90's. At your signal level even a small cloud can knock your HD channels out if they even come in.

Tuner 1 cable has a short in it, or going through a splitter. Anytime singal gives every other transponder a zero it means cabling issue, specifically a short in the line or a splitter breaking up the sat signal. To test my theory switch cables on sat in 1 and 2. If symptoms switch tuners then it's confirmed you have a problem with that cable line. This problem is 100% wh...

it seems like its a engineering issue that I'm sure DTV is working to fix. If its just one channel, and multiple people having the same exact issue with the same exact channel then that would most likely point to engineering issue. DTV may not have it as a posted caddie yet because you are the first reporters. It takes a certain volume of the same exact issue being report...

just as texasbrit stated you should call DTV and set up a "movers connection". The great thing about DTV is we easily move you to your new location with no hassle or changing of accounts. All you have to do is bring your receivers with you to your new location and DTV will dispatch a tech to come out and install your new system. You don't have to worry about the dish, wir...

standard pole mount charge is $75. includes pole installation and burial of up to 20 ft of underground cable. however, some contractors only charge pole mount charge if customer preference and other mounting options are available. If we do a mobile home or apartment or a house with no suitable structure to mount to then charge is waived, but this is not across the board. ...
