I have an Ethernet cable running from my router to the genie main box, yes. But for everything to work out, I always get the message that the wireless network is how I should be operating. Mainly using the ipad as a remote control, or watching something on ipad.

Since I really don’t know what this all means, it’s hard for me to say. I know how to find the numbers and set/change per these suggestions but I don’t have a clue what I am actually doing. Not sure what else to do but keep trying…

When I go to an on-demand channel and try to download a show it won’t complete the download and I get this message “there was an issue connecting to the internet”. I go back and run repeat network setup and it finishes properly and tells me that I am now connected to the internet. Then back to the VOD channel to get the same error. My HR44/700 genie will not stay connected to the wireless network. I even have the thing connected to the router with a hard line.
