Call DTV for a replacement $20 shipping or $50 for a tech to come out, both free if you have the protection plan.

You can also run the Built in Self-test (BIST) to try and repair your hard drive. To run the hard drive checks, please follow these steps: * Reboot DVR via red button inside card door. * When you see "Running receiver self-check" press select * You will see "Entering Diagnostics Mode..." * Select Advanced Tests Menu -> Hard Drive utilities -> Short Smart test You can also...

There is a known problem(at least to us)with the HR34 being to under powered with the new software, the only fix is to get DTV to replace it with a HR44/54 but since DTV considers all Genies as the same shipping a replacement is a big gamble but having a tech come out and if they have an HR44/54 on the truck you have a better chance.

Only with a composite cable to a VHS or DVD recorder/computer or with a component capture card to a computer in real time.

The only 4K ready receiver that DTV has is the C61K mini client and all Genies can handle 4K they just can't output it on the HDMI port. They are already over the standard 8 tuner limit of a SWM LNB so they have either a SWM16 module or the new 13 tuner SWM LNB.

771 is usually a dish alignment problem but if it is a 775 error code means you need to return the power inserter back to the living room and connect it to the red power pass though port on the SWM splitter.

You own the dish and everything but the receivers to maintain and remove, DTV will only install a new dish in a suitable location. The landlord has the right to prevent attaching the dish to the roof or building but not in a space under your control like a patio.

The RC7X series remotes can't turn any soundbars/A/V receivers on/off by design, only HDMI-CEC can turn them on/off. What is the model of receiver you have?

If you haven't done a red button reset then try it, behind the access card door on a DVR or the side of a mini, H25

The RC7X uses both IR and RF at the same time but the RF only controls the Genie/mini. I believe you need to take it to the Genie and add/reprogram the TV then add the A/V receiver in the next step. The RC7X remotes will not turn any A/V receivers On/Off, if the A/V has HDMI-CEC then it will control the On/Off.

Your dish needs to be realigned $50 for a tech free if you have the protection plan or you can try youtube for help on doing it yourself.

DTV has been forced into complying with HDCP on all channels. You need a powered HDMI splitter to keep the handshake alive when the HDMI TV is off.

Yes you can but you also need the WVB (Wireless Video Bridge) that connects by coax to the SWM system and make sure you get the RID (receiver ID) and call DTV access card department to make sure that it is not stolen or activated on another account as DTV will not activate it before buying any receivers from ebay.

Yes, the receivers have different tuner sensitivities. Since you have swapped receivers there is something wrong with the coax. For the $50 service fee the tech will check the whole system,replace/repair anything wrong at no additional fee and you get a 90 day warranty.

Yes your HD sats are to low, there are videos on youtube that can help if you want to try it yourself. Yes the low signals could be causing the glitches. Service calls are around $50 and includes any parts if needed, free if you have the protection plan.

None of the HD receivers have coax outputs but they all have component/composite outputs and can output 480 and 4:3 for SD TVs. The Genie minis and the H25 receivers need a dongle to output component/composite that should be provided. If all you have on the TVs is coax input you will need an RF modulator to convert the composite signal to RF.

Sorry yes the Genies have to have the Whole Home activated even if you don't have minis or any other receivers and make sure your are not being billed for any "additional TV fee".

You can try a system reset assuming you have a SWM setup first unplug all DTV DVRs/receivers then unplug the SWM power inserter then unplug the DECA power then unplug the router and wait 2 minutes then plug it back in and wait for it to reboot then plug in the DECA then the SWM power inserter then the DTV DVRs/receivers.
