I've been waiting almost a year as well. Got an Email from DTV saying it was closed and fixed. BUT, I don't see it. I've had 0xa72 for over a month and no update. I even forced an upgrade with the 0,2,4,6,8 trick and it just download 0xa72 again. I would really like it. What is your version number ?

I have been getting updates from Directv. Until now it has been "we are working on it". It look a little more promising today, June 4, 2015. DIRECTV's engineering department has found the root cause of the issue and is working on a software download that will restore the Media Share app on your receiver. I agree that it is Directv's player that doesn't FF/RW, not the Media Server Software. Being a sucker, however, I went for the free trial on the "TV Media Share" as suggested by serialjoepsycho. On all 5 of mine, if you pause for more than a minute of so it errors off and kicks you out. It would be SO much better if that were fixed. FF and REW would be nice but pause should really work !

I called and talked to a tech too. Youtube is gone with no plans to return. Media Share is gone too, but the tech didn't know what it was and looked it up and said wait 24 hours. I see they are changing the playlist group functionality and released a partially functional version on just the Genie. I wish I new there plan but I guess it is a wait and see. Come on guys. You and peds are all over the place all the time and have been for as long as I can remember. If you are not, you should be on the payroll. Group Play on the DVR that has the group starts from the oldest and goes to the newest. When stopped along the way, a play on the group resumes where it was. It works as one would hope.
