Had this issue a couple months ago, it stopped, now it's back. Have my favorite college and NFL teams set to season record and Genie is completely ignoring them. Have deleted, set them up again...nothing. This is getting VERY tiresome and for the first time I'm considering switching providers. Yes, it's that big a deal.

Mine too. I have my favorite college and pro teams setup to "season record." Last week it stopped recording them. I've deleted them and set them up again...nothing. I swapped out the HDMI cable and everything is fine. I was just flabbergasted by the DTV rep's lack of knowledge, and also to make a comment to a customer that it's "because you're trying to watch adult content" when my TV was tuned to Nickelodeon, just unreal.

So tonight, after four years of being connected to DirecTV, I got the following error message when I turned on my TV: TV does not support this program's content protection. DTV came out today. Everything inside tested fine. They went out and found my LNB should have been upgraded when I upgraded to Genie but was not. They put a new one on and everything is fine. The tech that came out really went above and beyond and had to spend quite a lot of time outdoors in below zero temps. I bought his lunch.

I'm done messing with it and called for service. They are coming out 12/24. I pondered the idea of doing a full system reset. Not the red button,mind you, but the full return every box to factory settings, erase recordings, everything. Would that be extreme at this point and only lead to more problems?

He didn't touch splitter. He left cable and I hooked it up in the same port the box was hooked to previously.

Replaced all fittings and wall plate with Monoprice. Reset all receivers simultaneously. Approximately one minute of video then 771 error entire house.
