Works like a charm. Just a hassle with the cabling is all.

Cables are good. Completely forgot I had an HDMI splitter on this unit so we can see the same content in the kitchen. I got a new, 3D compatible splitter but still no good.

Yes, TV was on and performed a software restart. Just performed a red button restart and no change. Are there specific cabling requirements for 3D? Shouldn't any good-quality cable work just fine? The TV is in Auto 3D mode. I've even tried forcing it into side by side mode. Restarted the box but still same results. Help? Almost forgot...TV connected directly to box via HDMI. Not passing through A/V receiver.

Just upgraded from an HR20 to an HR24. The HR24 search results don't include YouTube (DVR is connected to internet and network test confirms). Old HR20 that isn't connected to internet still lits YouTube in search results even though it ISN'T connected to the internet. Is there a setting that I'm not aware of to turn this on?

Have a Sony KDS-50A2000 that claims to be 1080p compatible. Tried to watch a DirecTV Cinema movie that was HD1080p but get a message stating that the source isn't in the right format. Connection is via HDMI. Is it my TV or is it the signal from the box?

I have an HR20-700 HR DVR attached to a wireless bridge (802.11g). I have a Windows 7 laptop connected (wired) to my router. I initially had problems with playlist items not showing up, but played with my firewall and that's fixed. Now my issue is that when I select a recording it plays for about a second or two and then just stops. Nothing works. Nada, zilch, nothing. Su...

Is there any way to defrag HR20-700's? I can hear the hard drive grinding away from time to time and I'm thinking it needs to be defraged or some kind of utility needs to be run. Anyone?

Hi...this has been going on quite awhile and we're now at the point on pulling the plug on DirecTV if we can't get it resolved. The issue seems to happen mostly on HD programming, and especially on 1080 broadcasts. Since we almost exclusively watch recorded material I cannot say if it is happening during the broadcast or if it is solely a playback issue. We'll be happily ...

I also discovered that you must restart the HR20 in order to see the channels and for the On Demand menu to work. How just waiting for the DOD info to come down.

So, I understand that with the latest software download DOD (DirecTv on Demand) should be available. I've connected my HR20 to my network and system test confirms connection to both network and internet. However, when I click on the On Deman menu item nothing happens and I can't get to the DOD channels (1000 range). Am I missing a step or does something need to be activat...
