Hello: We had just recently ( 3 months) upgraded to a genie. and noticed that it periodically will freeze the picture and sound for several seconds, while it does not occur every 5 minutes, it will be several times within a show, and I am unsure if it happens at a regular period. It is also odd to note that now, with this new remote, the TV will just turn off randomly.

All: I discovered that if you 'rewind' any live TV, the voice and picture stays in sync. So now, each time I am watching an over-the-air channel, I 'rewind' if back 30 seconds, then everything is good.

That is what I ended up doing, Someone posted the database that DTV uses, I searched it for the missing channels, then found the zip for that city, and used it as a secondary. It works, I just have to go on line to find the channel listing, as what is displayed in the guide is incorrect. But at least I now have the channels.

I tried that, ( removed the surround sound equipment) and it is still an issue. again, all other DTV channels are OK, only the OTA channels start to drift over time, and lose sync. If I change channels and go back, its OK for a while.

Hello: I bought the AM21 Off Air Tuner. It is great when bad weather hits and I lose reception, I can still get the local channels, But I noticed that over time. ( 1 hour or so) it loses sync with the audio. The audio comes before the picture, It gets worse over time. If I change channels and go back, its synced up again. Why is this, and can it be fixed. I bought the tun...

I just got my OTA tuner and hooked it up. After entering my zip code, it came up with a list of the local channels, but some of the sub channels are missing. I verified that if I hook the antenna directly to my TV and re-scan, they are all there. I got the OTA tuner so I can record shows. It there a way to get it to tune in these sub channels? Is there someone I have to t...

Currently, I have 2 HD DVRs. ( 2 TVs) Will be adding a 3rd eventually, but not all the TVs will be used at the same time. So far I only see that you remove the recording conflicts. Are there other advantages? I just wanted to know if others have upgraded, or this is more for new customers. Chris

I have the whole house setup, with 3 boxes, 2 DVRs and one HD only. If I select record on the NON-DVR box, it asks which DVR to record to. Why can’t this feature be on the DVR boxes also if they are connected? This would allow me to move recording settings when recording conflicts arise (Ideally it should suggest moving one recording set to the other DVR). I Know the Geni...

It would appear that the directTV remotes only supports a limited set of functions on my TV such as the on/off and volume control. ( and when in TV mode, it does channel up/down and brings up the mode select menu, but not the actual select option), would trying other codes to get more functions? could I use a 3rd party 'learning' remote to control my DTV receiver?

I have the whole house setup. but want to have both remotes be set to RF and control their respective boxes. Is this possible, or would they interfere with each other? ( I currently only have one RF capable remote and want to change the others) Thanks Chris
