Always good to manually reset the HDMI cable(s) to see if anything changes, as well as trying new HDMI cables. As another variant, try with HDMI only, instead of both connected. Heat is another factor to consider..is anything blocking the air flow? Is anything stacked on top of the Genie or is it in an enclosed cabinet? Also check electrical outlet service..since I have n...

To the best of my knowledge, DirecTV does not offer "refer-a-friend" Visa cards. There may be some kind of referral-visa-card-offer through Direct Star TV or Direct Sat TV (2 national resellers), but it will not reflect on any DirecTV order or invoice. Google those resellers for more info. The refer-a-friend offer is strictly $10 discount for 10 months when an active cust...

Need to have a modem with built in ethernet router (recommended) or wifi. If not, will need separate router (ethernet or wifi) to do the job. The CCK (Cinema Connection Kit), which does the connection from HD-DVR to the internet just needs a good connection..and doesn't have a preference. Good luck! -=K=-

Some upset customers don't read the Customer Agreement (including legal experts and paralegals in the DA's office). Some upset customers imagine things that don't exist and then expect them to materialize. Some upset customers make generalizations about an entire industry, without any real knowledge or experience. Some upset customers exaggerate their side of a situation ...

SWiM16? I suppose that was to leave room in case of expansion. Typical install for up to 8 tuners is SWiM8. Might want to try a red-button reset on all receivers (behind access card door). This usually resolves temporary issues. TechKnow Guides and installer/tech experts can also help troubleshoot. -=K=-

Please try a red-button reset (located behind the access card door). This helps resolve many temporary issues. If that doesn't help, sounds like the HDMI cable might be the issue. Will need to test with another working HDMI cable. Does your tv have a firmware update? If so, that also could resolve some issues. TechKnow Guides and installer/tech experts can help troublesho...

Certain HDMI spec cable can go beyond 25-35ft without issue. However, it all depends, since IEEE specs have changed over the years. Versions have changed from 1.2 to 1.3 to 1.3a to 1.4 to 1.4a. Sounds like the total distance for the HDMI cable inside your wall connected to the basement could be a lot longer than 6ft. A HDMI cable installed several years ago may or may not...
