I see. My standard HD receiver no longer has the beta option, but the DVR does. However, looking online I do see that MVR has been activated on my account. I guess it may take a few more days for the flow down.

deron: Did you have to opt out of the beta service for your receivers to take the update? My DVR still shows that I am using the beta service, but my account shows that I do have MRV active.

Hi litzdog911: I believe this was my post from this morning that was missing that showed up somehow. I have now spoken with DirecTV this evening and had the MVR service added to my account for $3/mo without DECA! No contract extension and can cancel at anytime if my home network fails.

jh029s: I was given the same run around. I might try back this evening, but will probably try back in a few days, as litzdog911 suggested. It doesn't make sense for the receivers to have the functionality to do it, but they won't allow it.

dcd, Before I call back, do you have a specific department you recommend for this? Earlier I spoke to "networking" and "DirecTV Home Protection Plan" CSRs, being bumped there by another CSR, from another CSR. From my experience with Customer Service, DirecTV is notorious for 10 or so transfer's per call before you get to the right department.

I just spoke DirecTV twice about being able to use MRV without DECA. Apparently, all us that are using home networking will be forced to go to DECA once the BETA period ends. I received this from both representatives I spoke too. Supposedly, the BETA period ends today and the MRV service will be cancelled, which is yet to be seen. Since I do not require a equipment upgrad...
