Do I need HD service before I can even check to see if my dish can receive HD signals? I'm in the 21131 zip code. iPhone app seems to indicate that I can receive them, but they don't show up with any strength when I try to set it up.

I'm upgrading my DirecTV to hi-def and I am thinking of mounting the dish onto by brick and mortar chimney. The chimney is for a propane stove and is not wood burning. Anything that I should be concerned with in this type of installation? I would think that mounting it to the chimney would provide a more solid base which is critical to keeping the dish lined up to receive...

I've been having a problem with my system whereas the picture will go away completely to a blank screen, but I still am receiving audio through my AV Receiver. It appears that I have determined that there is a "short" in the connection of my (BBC) Module to my HD Receiver because, previously, when this would happen I would shake the connection until the picture returned. ...
