Yes, I was. But, after years of growing discontent. It started when I wanted the national PBS station instead of the local ones because the national one broadcast everything I wanted when I wanted it. I called and emailed a couple times on this one, pleading and begging: Absolutely no way. I didn't like that. When I assessed, after years, that I was really not watching TV...

I have been consistently unable to reply to this thread online. Hopefully this will make it through: I wish I had gotten your response a few weeks earlier. I finally resolved the issue by building my own HTPC and using a regular tuner. I now get all the local stations I wanted. It's funny, because as I think about it, this was the final straw that let me to the decision t...

I have the: DIRECTV AM21N Off-Air Dual Tuner (AM21) http://www.solidsignal.com/pview.asp?p=am21&d=directv-am21n-off-air-dual-tuner-%28am21%29&sku=8546300063&more=yes And it currently picks up several sub-channels in my market (Los Angeles). It is not picking up Channel 8.1, KFLA, which has a very nice vintage TV programming schedule. The reason why the OTA tuner is not pi...

I live in Gardena, CA. I have a DirecTV HR24 DVR with the DirecTV OTA Tuner and the Terk Amplified HDTV Indoor Antenna (recommended by, and works with Antenna TV). I don't seem to get Retro TV Los Angeles Channel 8.1. After 3 scans, I still don't see Channel 8 (or sub-channels) at all. I've double-checked antenna troubleshooting. It is extended and pointed towards Mount W...

In case this helps, Serviio has a DirecTV HD-DVR profile which will automatically transcode most video and audio formats to mpeg2 amd mp3. See my note here: http://forum.serviio.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=10673 So, Serviio could be used to send to MediaShare your audio and video files from both your WDTV Live Media Hub and your PC, and without needing DirecTV2PC or MediaShar...

Thank you very much. I finally understand. And, I've found a solution...

Quote: 1. The Western Digital WDTV Live Media Hub is a standalone media server device that is connected directly to your TV(or could be routed through an AVR that has video pass-through). It must be connected directly to the Internet via your home network router/modem for it's online services to work. The only "connection" to your PC is if you add an external hard drive t...

I have an HR24/500 DVR successfully connected to the Internet (Internet Services start without error, I have opened the necessary ports in router). Is there some way, some application or add-on available to browse the Internet using the HR24/500? That is, use the TV as a browser either directly or from my PC? Thanks for any info anyone can provide on this.
