Well, I would like to see them takeaway a couple of the HD news, Disneys, or other overdone channels before they neglect the outdoorsman by providing $h!&&y SD for The Outdoor Channel and Sportsmans Channel.

It's frustrating that DTV does not provide HD for Outdoor Channel and Sportsman Channel when Uverse and Comcast do. What prompts DTV to exclude certain channels from their HD lineup? Cost cutting measure I am sure. Any reason other than that?

Thanks kingwr12. I will keep an eye out for the "flicker" as you describe, although I don't watch much network TV. I likely will not have the bandwith problem you had as I am a single person household, with usually only 1 TV on at a time, and only 2 receivers right now. Plus, I kept my internet with my cable provider as Uverse internet was not quite fast enough for me (al...

Hi Peds. Not sure what you mean by 3-1. I have 2 Uverse wired receivers (1 DVR) and no internet. I kept my cable internet and doubt I would switch to their internet. I may add a wireless receiver but not until I know if i am keeping the service.

After 4 years with DTV, I installed ATT Uverse today and suspended my DTV account for 6 months while I decide which one to keep. Today is Day 1, and I want to comment that am wholly impressed with ATT Uverse so far for a number of reasons. 1. Picture quality of HD - first and foremost, the picture quality in HD is equal to DTV. The colors appear slightly richer and the ch...

In addition to what Peds said, you could also set your guide to view only channels you have. Then, the the left side of the screen from within the guide, any channel that has a :smileyplus: next to it means that On Demand for that channel is available. You you can get to the OnDemand menu for that channel from there.

If your TV has multiple HDMI ports, then use one of the open ports for your Chromecast. Chromecast has nothing to do with DTV and is completely separate. This question was previously asked and answered.

DirecTV would not be required to add you, or any other of it's 30+ million customers, to an insurance certificate. Their installers, on the other hand, can provide proof of insurance to your Condo Association. If you have insurance on your Condo, I am sure you have coverage that would kick in for liability if you caused an injury to the installer somehow. You could take o...

I have had numerous issues with DTV player over the course of 2 years. My longest time period of not getting it to work was 3 mos, but it finally worked, and now works regularly. I would try to install DTV Player on multiple devices and see if it will work on any of them. Also try uninstalling the DTV Player (for example, if you use Mozilla Firefox, uninstall the add-on a...

No matter what speakers or receiver I use, it is all the same. For example, the audio sounds bad running thru my computer speakers, but Netlflix and Hulu sound great. Let's say I run HDMI out of my computer to my A'V receiver and TV. Again, same result - good HD picture, poor quality audio.
