I took TOR out of my system (no mean task) and was able to reestablish wifi, at least the system says it is. Not sure what else I can ask you to do. Regards, Jack

Well I believe I might have found something. The IP address does not match between my pc and the DVR. I have a Tor program enabled which hides the IP address from services I use. I mentioned this to the installer and he said it would not present a problem. Regards, Jack

There are some Directv boxes between my receivers and the dish. Do you want the model numbers? Regards, Jack On Thu, Aug 7, 2014 at 10:30 AM, peds48 <directv-admin@forums.directv.com>

Directv installed Genie last Saturday and since we live in Florida the best way to prevent surge is to unplug. Have not been able to reconnect since. Have called Directv and followed their instructions with the parting advice "wait 24 hrs". This hasn't worked. Looking for suggestions and a procedure to reestablish. Using dash on remote says not connected.
