If there is no error i have been fixing this by going to repeat satellite set up then going to continue...menu...settings and help..settings...then satellite..repeat sat set up...press dash then change nothing go to continue....set up remote later and then watch directv

Yes you can do that. When you place the order do it as additional equipment or when they ask what you are replacing you can replace all the rest minus the d12

How long has this neen going on? Did you review your bill every month? To be honest i think that is good to be credited a month. I know what i am being billed for every month and would certainly notice an extra tv on my bill. Anyhow you need to escalate to someone else. You know you can check the number of receivers you have at anytime by logging into your account or look...

Dish network requires an hd dish and hd reveivers also. So i am not understanding your point. Did you specify you wanted hd when you got this set up?plus hd dishes with either provider is not tje easiest to align on ones own

Either way you have to wait for a tech to come out. Directv to move the dish or dish network to install their equipment. Then you will have to learn a whole new satellite system.

My update caused no problems...are you still connected to the internet? Press the dash button on your remote and see if it says internet connected. You can also try and reset your home internet and then reconnect your receiver to the internet in the network set up section and see if that works after 24 hours

This person does not really want help they just want to call people names and be angry. These are the people that want everything without the decency of being willing to listen and rationally explaina problem. Name calling and rhetoric is the fastest way to be ignored not be helped or even taken seriously. My 2 year old even understands this.
