Enhanced Content is for sure a pain. Mine does it three times every day morning, noon, and night. It does suck

Yes my unit is hooked to the internet. I still keeps downloading at 8pm when I am trying to watch some thing and record a show. I stop it but it keeps doing it every 15 minutes. Wish Dtv would fix it, but assume they will not as they do not care what long time customer want. Thanks

this is in response sent by litzdog911 when ever I reply to a post I get a message that says I must refresh the page or log back on. Neither one works. Yes both tuners are up and running. I keep having this same problem over and over. Every night between 7:45 pm and 8:00 pm my tivo will start downloading enhanced content. I get what it is downloading ads and messages etc. My problem is some nights I record shows at that time and watch other shows live or record show. Hi I have the new tivo hd receiver. Since I got it I have had various problems with it. Direct tv techs were out many time and tried to fix all the problems. Many they did and some could not. Is there any way for D or me to change the times the tivo downloads enhanced content? I am really getting tired of it interrupting programs that I am watching. Has done it twice just this morning.

Thanks for your input. I do not have a network in my home. I assume it would mean I would have to buy a router and set up every thing. I really do not want to through good money after bad. Had to pay for a new receiver that does not work plus pay the lease and hd service. Think it is best to go back to my old receiver and forget the whole thing.

Update Hi Again Yesterday direct tv sent out another tech that knew more about Tivo's. He was able to get the unit to call in once. After that the unit gets the failed while negotiating error. Plus the remote still locks up when there has been no activity while watching a program. Still disappointed with the new tivo. Wish I had stayed with my old tivo.

I have tried every thing. Multiple phone lines, having my phone lines checked, replacing the box, having DTV techs try it, contacting tivo. My conclusion is it is either a bad product or bad software. DTV has washed their hands of the issue and continue to charge fee's for a bad product that does not work properly. Nothing more I can do except cancel my service after 15 y...
