I'm also experiencing this. A couple of weeks ago the HR44 discoeenected. Last week it reconnected (without me doing anything). Now it's disconnected again. It's connected to the router via an Ethernet cable.

I finally got around to reattaching the DCA2SR1 (its omission hadn't been causing a problem) but now I'm confused! One end of the coax cable is attached to a DCFR0-01 dongle which has one coax output and a power supply. So I'm not sure how to connect it in serial. What am I missing?

Oh yes - there are lots of keywords you can use in a search, obviously. But I'm looking for a way to get to the keyword search without entering any letters or numbers. Sent from my iPhone

Smart Search allows you to press the red button to initiate a search for series premieres (or season premieres). It seems you can only do that after entering at least one letter. Is there a way to start a category search WITHOUT entering any characters? (To find all series premieres of which there are many this month).

Of course! Thanks a million. We don't often use the functionality on that box which is why we hadn't noticed.

I have a Genie with 3 mini-genies and an additional separate HD-DVR. A couple of weeks ago we were having a new floor put in so I had to disconnect the main Genie box and all it's wiring and leave it disconnected while the work was being done. After a couple of days I hooked everything up again and everything seems to be working fine. I'm very happy. Then I realized that ...

I see. When I watch on demand I use "watch now" and if I want to record all episodes NOT on demand I set the series pass to record all episodes and keep all. So I get the binge watching desire but I think the software has been "over developed" at the expense of existing functionality. Oh, well...

Past seasons? Do you mean including "on demand" or re-runs? I think you could already include re-runs easily enough and automatic recording of on demand wouldn't make a whole lot of sense. Sorry if I'm going on about this but it seems that the software either has bugs or they've developed an unnecessary feature. (I'm a software engineer myself so I've developed plenty of ...

Not sure why it makes it easier to record multiple seasons. In the "good old days" we could set the current season to record and, unless we canceled the "series record", the next season would record whenever it comes on. But I will take your word for it! )

I'll give that a try. Frankly I wouldn't describe that as easier!

Through the Search function. (It's worked for a long, long time but, recently, fails). Clicking on "record series" adds the program to the series manager (with 0 episodes) but the program doesn't ever show upon the "To do" list and doesn't record. It usually works through the guide but - if a new series doesn't start for 2 weeks - it's impractical to go to the guide, find...

IIn another thread in this forum someone reported a new problem where Genie was failing to record series when requested. I wasn't able to answer in that thread so I'm starting a new one. The advice given in that thread was along the lines of "don't worry about what the To Do list says - everything will record just fine". I tried following advice. I didn't worry that the s...
