Not sure how it is that you are determining that episodes are missing, but I'll tell you what I found when I thought the same thing. When recording series, if there is a conflict with a particular to do item, the item that doesn't get recorded is the item with the lowest priority as specified in the series manager. No visible mention of the conflict appears, but a record ...

Looks like they at least correct the original implementation - early on you didn't even have enough time to select "Cancel". One other option is to not use the Play/Pause button to engage the recording(s). Although pressing select will require that you then press select again on "Play".

Have two RC71's that do the same thing. Take the batteries out and reinsert them - all is well for a few minutes up to a few days. Batteries test ok. Replaced batteries in one and so far it's ok - time will tell. I suspect that there is an internal issue with the battery contacts. BTW, when these units are acting up as described, the transmit lights do not appear normal. ...

Been repairing, building, installing and writing computer software for 30+ years - there is no hard and fast rule on intermittent problems. It takes definitive testing and if you reject what folks here are recommending (it's called tunnel vision), you may never solve the issue. FWIW...

Maybe not. If you continue to experience the issue intermittently, it could be a bad contact in the plug at one end or the other???

Noticed this on the wired mini-Genie and not on the main box.

Agree with the comments about the play/pause combo, but there is one good feature in the new remote - the RF actually works, every time. No more pointing it in the right direction (read that as a counterintuitive direction). If your watching in bed, it even works under the covers - LOL.

Not exactly my experience - been involved in computers from every aspect for many years. The cable lengths we're talking about have no effect and the electronics are in the same category - both operating at or near the speed of light. The CPU is the main driving factor, but even that has never produced anything noticeable - I've mated both analog and digital equipment/tvs...

The fix for this issue appears to be a fairly simple fix that would allow more than one mini to pick up a packet on the internal network. The answer, on the surface anyway, is in the addressing of the packets. What are the chances?

Maybe I need to pose the question differently? Is the only option to get it reasonably close for user 1 to stop the playback and for both users to select resume at about the same moment?

What is the procedure for one Genie mini that would like to join a recorded program already being watched on another TV? The object is to have the two programs appear on the two TV's with the audio/video in sync. Also, maybe someone can enlighten me as to the differences, if any, between Whole Home DVR, Genie/Genie Minis and GenieGo. TIA

I purchased a new HR24NC-500 from an Amazon.com dealer. The box is sealed and has red sticker/label on the outside that says "non program". What does this mean and should I open the box?
