You should be able to cancel it by logging into your on-line account - myAT&T Login From the "Wireless" menu, select "View My Plan & Features", then use the "Manage" link in the "Manage My Device & Features" section. "SmartLimits" is an option under "Parental Controls", so you should be able to remove the selection for the feature there.

If you haven't already done so, try turning your phone off for a few minutes, then back on. Forcing it to reestablish it's connection with the network may resolve the issue.

I'm happy to have it as a safety net for an occasional unexpected need for more data than my routine usage runs. As they say - "it's better than the alternative" - paying an exhorbitant fee for another bucket of data that I probably wouldn't even use much of.

You should have an option within your call or phone settings - look for something along the lines of "Caller ID", where you should have options to show your caller ID to "all", "none", "contacts" - or something similar.

Unfortunately no - unless you terminate your service on the last day of the billing cycle, at&t's terms currently indicate that they will not give a prorata refund for unused service. Yes, you should be able to use a GoPhone in Puerto Rico - the Go Phone coverage maps indicate full coverage for Puerto Rico, and Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands are specifically included in the "Domestic Data Connect Pass" (prepaid data for mobile devices); so there shouldn't be an issue with availability of the data needed for using the navigation on your phone.

No - once you activated the new SIM with your Galaxy the old SIM associated with your phone number was deactivated by at&t. Deactivated SIMs cannot be reactivated and used with a different phone number. If you want an additional prepaid account/phone number, you'll need to obtain a new SIM and set up a prepaid line of service.

Yes, the caller would get the benefit of their unlimited MTM calling in the scenario you've described. And while it is true that the current GoPhone plans don't include MTM, there were older GoPhone plans that included it; and there are some GoPhone users that are still on that older plan.

You can use the N9 with at&t's data plans - the phone should provision the required settings automatically when you insert your at&t SIM card. And you can use just a regular data plan - not a Blackberry data plan.

I don't know that either of these will work, but try *777*1# and *777*4# send. One gives me N&W minutes, the other Mexico roaming minutes; but I'm on the $1/day plan, so it's possible one of those options may give you info. pertinent to your rate plan. (?)
