Works for me. Of all the bloatware apps, the combo VM and Text app is actually pretty useful.

One way is to turn off the volume before you reboot. Other than that, root is the way to take care of that.

I found the ATT Messages App and the ATT Visual Voicemail app (XDA Forums) and sideloaded them on my ATT Nexus 6. For some reason the Message App voicemail part crashes unless you also have the Visual Voicemail installed. Works great!

Mine will ask for a PIN again if I refresh my browser whether it's Chrome or FireFox or IE. Why can't it simply be a user and password login. If I can check a box agreed to drop the need for a PIN, wouldn't that suffice?

Same here. There was a short season when the Messages online didn't want to send a PIN everytime I opened my browser but now it does. When I leave my phone at home or it's out of range or battery is dead, etc, etc....this service doesn't help me. Any way to have it stop sending a PIN number EVERY time?

Downloaded the 4.4.2 update yesterday, did a Helium backup and performed a cache wipe and factory reset. Haven't have ONE GPS issue as of yet and the battery seems to be running on par with my 4.3 usage. Will tell the whole story soon enough. Thanks, ATT for the update that actually fixed the issue. Next time, keep your customers posted. I almost dumped you for T-Mobile s...

It's Monday, March 24th. WHEN WILL THIS BE FIXED? It's difficult when you've recommended something techie and then find out something's broken (like GPS) and nothing can be done until AT&T issues a patch. This is of course for those who aren't rooting and want to keep their warranty. How about sharing the release date? Give us SOMETHING more than "Soon". "Soon" is too muc...

I'm hopeful that the KitKat update has the GPS fix as well. My wife and I both have Note 3's (aka $1,400 of electronics in our hands) that we hope when driving will always have at least one of the two with active GPS. If I go with a Note 4, it won't be the AT&T version...no matter how different the CPU is. Locked bootloaders should be optional when you flat out purchase t...

ATT Note 3 here...and familiar with this issue as well. I was in downtown Dallas recently(AT&T's Home Base) and needed walking directions to Jury Duty and WHAM!, no GPS. A $700 phone shouldn't be having something as basic as GPS issues...and since it does, ATT should be on it like gangbusters to get it fixed. Funny thing is my wife has same phone, so we try to take turns ...
