I'll be keeping the thrid party Trane one as it is one great screen with all kinds of info, including weather alerts and radars, however, I'm not willing to spend the 10 bucks a month for remote app. For the times I would use it while I was away from the house, can't justify the monthly fee. Thanks everyone.

I think I already know the answer but doesn't hurt to ask. I just had a whole new HVAC system installed. Complete tear out of the old and installed a new Trane that comes along with a great full color large screen Trane ComforLink II XL950 Control. ComfortLink wants $9.99 per month for remote use. ATT charges $4.99 per month for remote with their Honeywell green screen co...

5 Month Update System has been working fine and recently self added the garage door controller to open and close the garage door remotely. As I already had the front door lock package, there is no additional extra monthly fee. Suggested improvements: 1.Make the chrip adjustable so all "too quiet" and "too loud" issues are resolved. 2.Lower camera prices -- but that's just...

Hey Rans does sound easy and I'm fairly handy. Going to order one. Thanks for your quick response as sometimes people forget to come back after their initial visit. I'm loving my Dlife.

Here is an update. The 2 camera install will now take place in about 4 weeks as I have the renovation going thru then. Plaster dust would not be good. Also, when I called to change the appointment I told them that my garage door had not been installed with a sensor, odd since I bought the door lock package. She apologized and scheduled the install when the cameras go in.....

So I've ended up with a 2 camera install for next week. Never did receive a a call from them and for the dollar amount I just scaled back to 2. mentally could not justify 2 more cameras for 200 bucks each. I'll wait till later as I have a big reno going on in the house. Reno should finish in about 8 weeks will also look at the energy package at that time. The system has b...

OK, here is the initial update on the install. Tech arrived on time and promptly explaned the process, got to work and then held a little training session for me on the system and the apps on my devices. Regarding the chirp volume on the keypad he mentioned that the volume remains the same and there is no volume control. There are no changes imminent although, as previous...

I ordered mine online last week and posed the question and they said it was/being looked at. They were a little cagey. So we shall see, I should know tomorrow? I'll update on that. I also understa...
