UPDATE: I was contacted by AT&T again, they are sending a brand new S6 64gb along with a new case in place of the S5 16gb warranty replacement that they cannot fill. Lets see how this goes. Hopefully this situation ends on a better note than when it started.

What I was told was to log into the IP address of the modem go to wifi and change the channel to 1 or 3 then click save. It defaults to automatic so if you have to reset the modem at all, you will have to change the channel again. The higher the channel the worse the signal. Unforthunately this was one of my many issues and this is what I was told to do. I will say though...

I was connected to the 2nd Tier Paterfamilias of Tech Support for Uverse where I spent a glorious hour explaining over and over what the issue was only to be treated with disrespect as usual. I now have to wait until Saturday for a technician that may or may not show and may or may not know how to fix it. Hopefully it’s not the last incapable techs they sent! I complained...
