You may want to send a message off to customer care in the link I posted above detailing your problems and the best way to contact you. Also mention you are 800 feet away from the VRAD but your max rate is low 40s. They will connect and look at things and evaluate from there. But they manage the cases differently than the call center and will likely get this resolved fast...

I believe the port swap "my thoughts" mentioned was a port swap at the VRAD. Also there are K cards and F cards. While I don't know which one I have since I have heard that K cards can be 90down at the crossbox, the one thing that apears to be true is that for every 100 feet you lose 1 Mb/s down. I've had similar problems to you that seem to have stabalzed with a replacem...

2 wire install? It should be at least 3. Power, HDMI, and ethernet/coax... If you didn't mistype then that is defintily a problem... I never tried calling ATT, I always used their chat client, it seems to work well for me. But then again I'm used to fixing stuff at work over email and IM most of the day and dealing with vendors the same way. You may want to try it and ask...

It depends on your gateway, but you should have a 3800 or a 3801 from your previous install. TV service and Internet are over the same VDSL connection back to the VRAD so even if its TV only it still has the same issues any VDSL connection might have. You should be able to get most of the data over a wired connection or wireless.

There are many things you can do to get more information about your problem that you can post back to the forum; like installing uvrealtime to look at your dsl connections, etc. Contacting ATT Customer Care via PM will likely get you better results from ATT.

It sounds like you are trying to make the VIP1200 a wireless receiver by connecting a wire into a wireless access point? This certainly isn't supported, the wireless receivers that are supported use a wireless N WAP that take the IPTV traffic and send it only to the up to two wireless receivers that can be at your house. This is because combining the IPTV traffic with the...

I just got a new replacement gateway and paperwork mentioned not trying to use it before 8pm on the day they thought it would get to me. It sounds like it may be a provisioning thing, also the paperwork mentioned not unplugging it for at least 15 minutes after it comes up ( I am assuming this is in case firmware needs to get updated). Eitherway, calling them and letting t...

Did they try to bump your profile back down and restore the previous service before the tech comes out? If its not the gateway that should put everything back and you would at least have service in the mean time.

I think you have something wired improperly. It is hard to tell from your post, but it sounds like multicast packets are getting somewhere they shouldn't. You need your DVR plugged into one port in your RG and an Airport plugged into another, this is important so that the IPTV traffic is segregated. Once that occurs the Airports won't even see your TV traffic and there sh...

In the configuration tab you can choose to hide personal info so you don't have to black out the IP addresses. It looks like your RG has been up for 257 days? If this is true I would unplug the power source for 30 seconds and plug it back in. I'm having similar issues on a new install and a new gateway is coming, resetting it always helped for a day or two, you may need t...

It is fairly irresponsible to have this page set up like this but its important to note if you let someone borrow your laptop or if they steal it they can get your keys quickly anyway. This is why better wifi devices have guest access keys, but even then the guests still can access your network whenever they want to unless you change it all the time... But disabling the S...

Are the other routers the new laptop are working on are wireless N routers? The 2wire RGs are wireless G. This could point to a driver bug related to wireless G on the card. Something which will probalby never be fixed in the drivers. Hopefully the new card helps, I have had problems with Realtek based cards in the past that will eventually behave as you describe. You may...
