Don't expect "loyalty" from a corporation unless you're looking for disappointment. The only people they are loyal to are their shareholders.

It's not a setting on your BB. Voicemail is a carrier feature, not a BB feature. You need to call 611.

You'd have to call at&t. It's not so much a "PIN release" as it is deleting the BIS account that might alreaby be associated with it.

Google Maps will work but only with triangulation which can have some massive margin of error (up to 2100m in my experience). It won't be suitable for car navigation but would still be useful for finding things around you.

It should only eat the battery while it's running. As stated above, make sure you're actually closing it when you exit.

It's the same answer for any OS release -- they aren't announced. They're released whenever the carriers get to them. If you're in a rush to have the latest and greatest there's no reason to wait on at&t.

By "on the unit" do you mean under Options->Status? Yes, they should match. The above isn't a workaround -- it's the manual version of a process that should automatically happen when your BB is registered on at&t's network. Message Edited by takeshi on 01-06-2010 07:07:35 AM

You can. The limit is whatever your ring length happens to be (a max of 30 seconds, IIRC).

111 worked for me. If I text "email@domain.com test" to 111 then an email with "test" in the body is sent to "email@domain.com".

Yup -- that's all there is to it. Get a BB data plan and they'll be pushed to the BB.

Yup -- if they have them in stock. Plenty of sources online. I'm sure you can find other retailers (and other carrier stores) locally as well.

If you're running into this the only thing you can do is to raise the volume in the ringtone file itself (edit with a sound app on the PC).

Volume settings for alerts are in Profiles. If that isn't sufficient you'll have to edit the alert on your PC and increase the volume in the file.

If you have a media card in your BB (which you should if you want to store songs on it) then the media card will show up as a removable drive when you connect the USB cable. Desktop Mananger is not needed for this. DM does include Media Manager which is supposed to make converting and transferring media files easier. However, in my experience it's a bloated and unreliable ...

You don't pay for GPS service. You pay for whatever GPS app you decide to use. Some are free. Some are not. Check out the "All GPS Apps" thread in the GPS forum at BlackberryForums.com.

What you're looking to do is a device wipe. A master reset on the BB isn't the same as other devices. It doesn't wipe data. The device wipe is performed via Options->Security. However , first make sure that you call BB support and have them delete your BIS account. Otherwise even after wiping the device the service books will be pushed for your BIS account and your email w...

1. Two ways: Hold Shift while scrolling (use the same approach to highlight multiple letters/lines within a message/field) to highlight multiple adjacent messages before hitting delete. Highlight a date and choose Delete Prior (deletes ALL prior messages). 2. Messages is a universal inbox. It is NOT your text message inbox. You will get all email, SMS/MMS, PIN, etc in Mes...

If you're on a BES server then you're stuck with it. If, however, you bought this BB used and aren't on a BES then you'll need to remove the IT policy: http://blackberryfaq.net/index.php/Remove_IT_Policy
