Btw, the issue was more than likely an RJ45 end that was assembled incorrectly, therefore you had crossed pairs going to the RG, seems to be an issue, since the feed from the ONT (Optical Netowrk Terminal) to the RG is an ethernet cable into the RED broadband port. Making an ethernet cable can be a hassle if you haven't had alot of practice doing it hence it happens quite...

Don, it was a bad purchase but overall we've all had a case of buyers remorse for all intents and purposes you'd have to get an ATT RG, but I'd ask someone about a maintenance plan and see if that is covered under the terms, most times Uverse has same day service for repairs that are called in before 4pm so you would be ok but not "prepared" as you'd like to be.

Explanation is fairly straight forward, there are 4 total bands in VDSL 2+ which consist of tones (which consist of a few hz of frequency, trivial overall tbh) that carry the data. There is a small upload at the front that is used as an overhead and that is normal, its your U1 band then you'll have a download band which would be your D1 then a...

panther, I would suggest you remove all other devices connected to the RG (Residential Gateway: NVG510) except one, then I'd restart my RG and try again, that should help solve the issue, if it doesn't then I'd contact support with the issue or if you want to post the results of doing so I'd love to know. Another alternative is to RESET the RG by holding down the RED butt...

I would say that the QoS in the RG is designed to know the difference b/w IPTV (Video for TV Boxes - STBs) and HSIA (High Speed Internet Access) and therefore I wouldn't worry about the switches. I have a similar setup with 3 x 8 port switches in different parts of the house and everything works well, even with a Teamspeak Server running and all can access a NAS (Network ...
