First if has to work, you need a hardwired (Ethernet) connection from the gateway to your device. Wireless interference is complex, if that is your issue..... More problems in MDU (multi dwelling units) such as apartments, condos, townhouses, generally close living spaces with a multitude of wireless routers/devices. Additionally could be network congestion especially dur...

For most Uverse gateways the device code is on a label on the side of the gateway with a lot of other information. For the black 3801, 589, 599 and 5268 the label is also black making it harder to locate. However if you have an inid (3812) with the i38hg indoor unit for internet (hardwired/wireless), the device code is on the front door of battery compartment of the iPSU ...

Just some thoughts.... Which gateway do you have? How old is (are) the laptop(s)? Do you know what networks for new phones support? My thoughts are you have a 2.4Ghz gateway (510, 589, 3600, 3800, 3801, i38hg) Your laptops are older and support 2.4 GHz frequency band of b/g and maybe n (510/589) Your phones either have 2.4Ghz band disabled or simple do not support, they a...

If a repair issue for POTS line need to call the number on your bill. POTS repairs are handled by CIM aka InR but effectively old telephone/DSL installers. If wanting a bundle discount with single billing need to cancel (transfer) POTS to Uverse VOIP. Note Uverse VOIP cannot be ordered as a stand alone service, must be bundle with either internet and/or TV service. This w...

"Our innovative fixed wireless program that delivers broadband through the air using base stations and fixed antennae on customers' homes or buildings c an be a way to deliver high quality, high-speed Internet access service to customers living in rural areas," There is the tech installation.... The company has many call centers here in the US, of course they do not all support Uverse as this is just one portion of the umbrella that is AT&T. And customers want 24/7 support, while US call centers have set hours, as these close the calls are transferred to other locations. My last call to support provided someone in Cleveland Ohio area. Here is a current list of ca...

Agree if Uverse IPTV service is available then so is internet.... However, I suspect issue may be that ATT DirecTv is available at address, not the Uverse IPTV.

There is the regular retail rate, anything else is a promotion that has a time frame...... The time may be 30 day, 60 days, 90 days, 6 months, 12 months, 24 months depending on the promotion. But they all have a limited discount before returning to retail price. Audits of accounts will remove a promotion if not qualified for the promotion..... EDIT: If a person, or someon...

Generally the telcos do not overlap, I do realize there is a small area in Texas where they do, but that is the exception. Verizon in Texas is now Frontier from the early April 2016 purchase. If your is an area currently active, underway or being considered for ATT Gigapower market, that is your best chance. By end of 2020, 14 million + addresses will have the option to h...

If Uverse TV (not DirecTv) is available then Uverse internet and phone would also be available. For Uverse TV area, this is VDSL, your 510 gateway is for ADSL2+... So at the very least you will need a different gateway. Can you check with the current resident at your potentially new address to see if they have Uverse, if yes then current wiring should be good. In all hone...

Have roommate close the account, early termination fee is $180 with reduction of $15 per month.... Thus $90 at 6 months left, $45 at three months left. Order a new account, another 12 months, may have to pay a $100 deposit if credit is questionable. Unless close family member, I can never recommend assuming someone's financial obligations.

so if you take your local map, draw a square of 1 mile east to west and 1 mile north to south with your residence somewhere in the square..... How many other residences are there? More than 100? If so WLL is not a fit. The concept will be 250 people or less per square mile, considering 2.5 people per residence, this is the 100 homes per square mile. Excerpt from a news ar...

This is simple..... The 5268 is a dual band (2.4 and 5 GHz frequency) gateway. You are changing the 2.4 password, your laptop (older?) Is connecting to the 2.4 band/password. However your other devices are connecting to the 5Ghz band, if you did not change that password also, then only the original will allow access. Using the 192.168.1.254 for the gateway, go to WIFI set...

Couple of points from your post..... First, take the laptop and an Ethernet cable and verify that you are getting 45 hardwired. If yes then no issue with service being delivered. Next is your using wireless which has no guarantee minimum obtainable speed due to the large number of variables that can cause wireless interference. Third, speaking of wireless network interfer...

Free support (tier 1) is offered for your products only.... Any support for a third party (non Uverse) will be sent to billable support. As your are not stating the gateway cannot connect to the internet, or surf the internet then the issue is not supported freely. (Such as rebooting, or replacing equipment). Perform a factory reset of gateway by depressing and holding re...

Yes, the vacation hold suspends ALL services for $5 per month per service, minimum 2 month suspension. As your desired time frame is 3 months have no issues. If have triple play internet/phone/TV this would be $15 per month. Please remember this is an all or nothing suspension of services. If need internet for home alarm system or to view camareas remotely you will need t...

If you have a 3600 (purchased gateway from the past) then you are on a FTTN connection short loop. Most commonly associated with Customer Self Install (CSI, shipped gateway) using existing house wiring. On a self install, the profile would have been 13M allowing up to Max 12 internet. The 3600 can easily support the Max 12 internet speed. Nor should you need a new install...

Depends on which version you are subscribed to.... Gigapower is offered at different speed profiles and price points. There is the 100/100, 300/300 and 1G/1G. For some speedtest.net examples of 1G and 300 speed tiers.... http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r30729279-Columbus-Ohio-Gigapower Of course your equipment has to be able to support the faster speeds (hardwired Etherne...

To my knowledge.... Only if you have a POTS accounts, separate department within AT&T. As Uverse Internet and Uverse VoIP is offered on a bundle, one bill for combined services discount. Uverse does not allow two separate Uverse accounts at same address, even if they did would you want to pay two ($7) per month equipment fees instead of one? Edit: plus pay more for each s...

Two separate addresses would require two separate accounts.... When you check the address availability is Uverse an option? If yes, then could order service, a different BAN, different equipment, different bill. If no, then service cannot be ordered.

When you sign up for service, you receive a discount (standard is 12 months) where the company will receive (accept) less money (discount) in exchange for your long term commitment. If you want a month to month price, no contract, cancel anytime, this is paying RETAIL price (no discount) which is what your billing goes to after the promotion expires. Depending on how your...

After your contract ends AND you cancel your services, failure to return the gateway will result in a charge. This charge is "purchasing" the gateway. However you cannot use the "purchased" gateway on a new account. All new installs would require a company supported gateway with the corresponding equipment fee. From the Uverse terms of service agreement.... Return of equi...

As it is LGs remote, you will have to refer to LG manual for how to have your remote communicate with the Uverse receiver. Or call LG back for instructions. If the question was how to have the Uverse remote turn the LG TV on/off and control volume can refer to the help menu on programming remote.
