Thank you jonna0812. Be careful with this fix. I was able to get it to work, but... First let me say that I did root my phone, but be forewarned, this voids your factory warranty so proceed with caution. I deleted the supplicant file as the previous post said to do, but it did not recreate itself. So then I had no wifi at all. I finally found the stock ROM that worked and...

I also just wiped the cache. Entered wifi password, connected, restarted phone and wifi password was gone. I see I could possibly side load the update, but where would I find it in the first place?

Unfortunately since the phone won't remember my wifi password, everytime it tries to update, it is interrupted because it is no longer on wifi. I have tried to update via Kies, but it says the phone is up to date. If that were true, why is the phone trying to update itself over wifi? This is beyond irritating.

I recently had to send my phone Galaxy S5 to Samsung for a screen repair. When I got it back it will no longer remember any wifi passwords consistently. Sometimes it does for awhile, but then I discover I've been using data for days at a time when I thought I was on wifi. I have just turned off the Smart Network Switch as I have found other posts about older versions of t...

I sent a private message and got an email to call the Warranty Service Center at 800.801.1101. I did a factory reset in the process on my current phone and it has helped the speed, freezing, and stuttering problems I was having. I don't really see a difference in battery drain and it still has a problem recognizing my SD card. Since it is still under warranty they are sen...

Interestingly, if I take the card out of my phone and put it into the card reader on my computer the card works fine. Blackdog112, did you get a fix for your sd card problem? This is what mine is do...

Thanks for the tips. As for the battery, I turned off auto update for all apps. Hopefully that will help, but they should only have been updating on wifi which I am not on most of the time. My sync options are the same as they were before the update. I have most of the AT&T and Google apps disabled. The battery isn't bulging that I can see. My SD card has never been loose...

turpinator wrote: Maybe try clearing cache by holding volume up volume down and power buttons at startup until a menu pop up. Use volume down to select clean/ clear cache and power button to confirm. Just did this and seem to have picked up some speed. Hopefully will help with battery life as well.

Any word on battery drain? I can't do anything for more than a couple hours away from a charger. I'm getting 7 hours max standby time. If I actually use the phone it drains much faster. Anyone know what "com.sec.android.providers.downloads" is? This kept my phone awake for 45 minutes overnight. I am also having the SD card problem, it unmounts everytime my screen turns of...

I was having this issue also. I basically had to just walk away and be patient, it eventually started the update. It looked like it wasn't doing anything for a really long time, I would get 100% of download and then it would sit, but it did eventually start. Kies is terrible as far as I'm concerned, but I did manage to get this update. I think a faster internet connection...

I have noticed a slow down after updating, but my biggest issue is the sleep of death. I had cured this problem before the update, but that is the first thing my phone did after the update. I thought Jelly Bean was supposed to fix this problem?
