I signed up with U-Verse in 2008, so I think I'm on some "early adopter" list, but I'm able to call the cancellations/retentions office every year and get a money-saving contract. Basically, they give me $30 or $35 or so off per month of both TV and internet if I agree to keep their service for a year. I've heard they're less willing to do this, but I've been doing so for ...

I'd suggest a simple reset of the DVR. Unplug for 30 seconds and plug it back in. You won't be able to record or control live TV when the DVR is resetting.

Notice Appearing in USA today on June 21, 2016 AT&T's contracts with programmers for the content displayed on U-verse TV service periodically expire, or may be terminated, but are usually re-negotiated or extended with no interruption or change for our U-verse members. Additionally, from time to time it is necessary to change channel line-ups as well as television package...

From programmingchanges.att.com "Effective in August, U-verse will no longer carry ESPN College Extra 1-8 (channels 614-621) previously included in U400, U450, U450L, and the Sports Package." I would hope that those games would still be on WatchESPN.com and the new ESPN app. A Chromecast or HDMI cable should get that to your TV.

Basic remotes are free. Some are $59, but these are more advanced ones like ones that can be plugged into a charging base or can work through walls. If you're lucky enough to flag a tech down, they may give you one off a truck. Of course, good luck with that AND remembering you need one. However, send a PM to the U-Verse Care people and they'll get in touch. Include a link...

This feature has been discussed ad nauseum. It is believed it can't happen because the U-Verse STBs don't have traditional tuners. However, because you can record up to four shows at a time, it is best to record everything. You can watch a show about 15-20 minutes after it begins and then FF through the commercials and catch up to realtime when the show ends.

mimishirl55 wrote: My Uverse has been out all day today. Not the first time either. I'm about fed up with AT&T. Have you tried calling for a technician? The first step would be to unplug the problematic box, wait about 30 seconds and then plug it back in. The second step would be a whole-house reboot. Unplug all boxes, plug the RG (modem) back in and wait for the various ...

For a computer, I'd highly suggest a Slingbox. I have my Slingbox on a dedicated STB and can set my laptop near the TV to watch two shows at once. With a mobile phone app, Slingbox and WatchESPN.com, I can increase the number of live sports I can watch up to seven at the same time.

Some remotes have the "C button" at the lower right corner.

Back when Charlie Ergen owned Dish, he was known as "Cheap Charlie" because that stuff used to happen with frequent regularity.

Yup. Search for the ESPN app or www.WatchESPN.com Note that you must have UVerse internet and TV for it to work.

All of those channels such as Showcase, Front Row, ATTention have been discontinued. Effective February 29, 2016 the U-verse member channels: ATTention (channels 400, 962 in SD and 1100, 1400, 2500 in HD), Buzz (channels 300, 851, 961 in SD and 1000, 1300, 1851 in HD), Front Row (channels 100, 847 in SD and 1847 in HD), Showcase (channels 800, 964 in SD and 1800 in HD), S...

It's a free offer of the Spanish package, going on for a few weeks. Everyone gets it and it'll turn off automatically. You will not be billed for this. It includes all Spanish-language channels except for Disney-whatever-it-is and ESPN Deportes. It *does* include both BeIN channels in HD and SD. If you wanted to keep GolTV, I would upgrade the day before the first day you...

First, U-Verse isn't "cable." But anyway, you may be able to find a method at the below site. https://nflst.directv.com/ I've also heard a rumor that CBS is streaming select games via their website, but this may just be the game in your area. NFL RedZone delivers seven hours of non-stop commercial-free action each Sunday during the regular season. If you're not a die-hard...

Why would it be? It is exclusive through DirecTV unless you are a student or have a few other exceptions.

I was able to watch the game in HD on 1658 in HD or on 3005 in SD. The MLS games are on channel 1655. These games ARE "broadcast live." Please stop slandering AT&T. Don't believe Fox's lies. They *are* delivering these games...*if* you know where to look.

You can have up to four shows (streams) at a time. If you're watching the same channel on two different TVs, that counts as one stream. Press menu on your remote, then go to options. Select "system options" then system information. Scroll to "System resources" and look for the following. I'll use mine as an example, but yours may be different. 0 SD/4 HD (WAN); 0 SD/4 HD (...
