Interesting,,, I have the same problem and am convinced is a SOFTWARE SHORTCOMING that has not been fixe. In my case, the problem is in all units in the house, but of course related to the DVR recorded programs. I understand a decision is made on willing to accept the service as presented, but the issue is that it should be improved and above all it if is to be accepted as presented, then this issues should be presented, DISCLOSED, at time of contracting subscription. Absent of such, work on improving the shortcomings.

APPARENTLY someone is forgetting to mention the biggest dishonest portion to this no charge upgrade with directv and that is that they don't tell you that it automatically commits you to another two year contract from that date. Then when you find out, you either pay to get out of Directv A TWO YEAR PENALTY or stuck with it.

IT IS A VERY SIMPLE REQUEST FOR SOLUTION,,, remove the blanked out channels so they may be hidden. The obvious reason is that you force exposing when viewing GUIDE, as the most important issue is that you have a FAVORITES which call for almost five clicks before achieveing, because you cannot set a wanted FAVORITE as default instead of a GUIDE with junk unwanted and unhid...
