It does not appear that the original poster ask for a specific date . He asked for a time frame . IE :early spring , mid summer ect . . The plans for release in Korea were annonced almost a month before the release , whitch went OTA on the 27th of march .

You also must be the original purchaser of the phone . Bought my teenager a used Iphone 4 locked to at&t , they wouldn't unlock it for me , had to have the original owner request the unlock for me .

If you know the original owner you have to get them to request the unlock from AT&T . Even though I am a customer in good standing , AT&T would not unlock an Iphone for me that I got on Ebay . Luckily the seller was the original owner , and requested the unlock for me . But up till then AT&T would not unlock it even though it had a good "imei" .

That is only true if you walk in and pay full price for the phone . And AT&T has NO problem unlocking a phone when you pay retail price for it . However when they subsidize the phone they have a vested interest in keeping it locked to their service , for the term of the contract .
