Well, it's been a week since ATT told me it was "fixed" in my area. I'm happy to report that her phone has continued to work. The rep called me back today to confirm it was still working. Had a chance to play with her phone. Interestingly, she told me her 4G LTE indicator disappeared a few days ago. Passing this on... Received a call from ATT customer care this afternoon telling me that ATT has officially fixed this issue in my area. I asked if it was fixed nationwide or just in and around STL and she could not tell me for sure, only that the "national ticket" for this problem was considered resolved. Heard back again from the tech support rep who had called me previously. She said ATT has a software fix that will be rolled out sometime in March in affected markets. She scheduled another commitment call in a week to keep me updated. No other temp solutions other than what's discussed here, though oddly she said that moving off LTE to 4G has not worked for everyone.
