Yes, arrangements should have been made when you realized you couldn't pay on time. But that still doesn't excuse the fact that they weren't willing to work it out with you after the fact. How did this end up?

I don't think it's possible even if the new owner agrees to it. The phone number would have to be taken to another carrier as a number port and back to att.

Sounds like s/he is trying to do multiple TOFR's if I'm understanding correctly and opened 2 2yr contracts as well as just adding a couple lines. 8 people in a family paying individual lines could be over $1,000 a month. Sounds like OP is trying to extend his FAN discount to his family by adding them to his account and splitting the bill X times Amongst each other. Could ...

I agree with dmapr - Personally, I would get it straightened out right now though. If for any reason that line gets taken off, it will take up to 2 billing cycles for it to be re-applied as you start the discount application process over.

I was told between 45-90 days as long as the account stays in good standing.

I've done this before but for total amount not just what's due. I meant to pay the 1 month service and ended up paying two. I called CS they reversed it and when I got the credit back 2-3 business days, reprocessed the correct amount. Hope you get it resolved!

Sounds like you gave up too easy. If you have been a loyal on time paying customer for years, request to speak to their boss. If you don't like what their boss says, ask for their boss. So on and so fourth until you find someone that takes the time to look at your customer loyalty record and has the power to give you a customer satisfaction credit. I have done this in the...

The only way to know for certain that you are NOT using cellular data is to turn cellular data off.

If you're using that little of data, give up the unlimited. Even if you go over 1-2GB in a month that's $15/$30. You're still saving money! You also, with the new mobile share plan, have the option of sharing your internet connection with other devices. This is called tethering and is not currently possible on ATT Unlimited data package. I just made this switch myself, wa...

I worked for Comcast as an installer. Their internet service (when working) is top notch. About once a month (usually late at night so it doesn't effect too many people) they do line maintnance. This is due to ever changing demand. Everyone in a neighborhood is feeding off a "node" which regulates service. These nodes from time to time need tweaking to offer better bandwi...

I just switched from my unlimited data as I could get 10GB for my two lines with unlimited call and text WITH tethering for less! If you want tethering so you don't have to have home internet, that's not what it's for! It's for the occasional tethering not as a primary ISP. You all need to get wifi at home is all.
