I am looking at switching from Comcast to DirecTv. I would be signing up for 1 TV with HD service. The problem is that the wiring in my house will only allow for one receiver to be connected to the satellite. I saw it mentioned elsewhere that in order to get HD channels you need to connect 2 coax. cables from the satellite to the receiver. Is this true, or can I get HD ch...

I am looking at signing up for Directv and getting the HD DVR, but the wiring in my house will only allow for one tuner. Is it absolutely necessary to have the HD DVR attached to two tuners, or can I still use it with one tuner and have limited functionality? Thanks!

I really want Directv service, but don't want a satellite on my newly shingled roof. Anyways, I've seen a few people that have their satellite dishes on a pole in the back yard, and I'm just wondering how much extra Directv charges for that type of installation, and whether or not you guys would recommend it? Also, this is the wrong forum for this, but I'm just wondering ...

About a year ago I tried to get Directv Installed, but was then informed that I would need to drill a hole in the wall of each room where I needed a TV installed (beacuse there is only 1 cable line running through the entire house). I posted here, and was told that they were "testing" some sort of device that allowed them to run signals to multiple TV's over one cable lin...

I was definitly friendly to the installer from when he came in until when he left, and he was also very nice which is why I was suprised to find that he lied (maybe it was an accident) and said the job was complated. Also, when I said I was arguing with te lady at Directv, that wasn't completely true. She was very nice and understanding, but after we got everything figure...

So if I just wanted to use 1 TV (HD)with te satellite, my in-home wiring would support that, correct? Without running any wires outside and through walls? Thanks!

Well, I'll just start with my Directv expierence before I get to my questions: I ordered Directv service, and had to wait a week for the installer to come. The installer did not show up, so I called Directv who offered to make me another appointment in another two weeks. I told them this was unacceptable, so they managed to get another installer come that day. When he got...
