The modem is an ATT 2wire 247. It is a modem/router/wireless router. The HD reciever's ip is 169.254.114.19, while the DVR IRD is 169.254.8.77.

I followed the steps, in order, listed above, but still was not able to connect. I went to my modem to ensure DHCP was enabled, but the only option it gives me in it's present configuration is "default DHCP pool". I'm assuming that means DHCP is enabled. Any other tips?

I tried to get my H24 HD Reciever and HR24 DVR to connect to the Internet but no luck. Am using a wired DECA broadband adapter directly to my modem/router. Have the whole home capability, which works fine, just cannot connect to the web. My system was professionally installed. From the LNB it goes to a swm 1 to 4 splitter.
