I'm aware of all the extra steps for carrier branded phones. Each carrier has their own steps and validation requirements. My point is that AT&Ts process is unnessarily long. That is why Sprint and non-branded phones have 5.1.x and we do not. Back when I had my S2, I had serious problems that Samsung had released fixes for, but that AT&T took months to release. No matter ...

I wouldn't assume that they are testing it well. They have released plenty of past updates that broke things. Their test process is probably more like a cumbersome validation of checkboxes that take a long time to fill. We would be better served if AT&T simply passed on what the manufacturers released. That way, when bugs do get out, we can quickly get fixes. When there's...

I too wish there would just leave their worthless bloatware off these new devices. I've never used one single bloatware feat...

AT&T what the heck are you thinking? You should give us a better changelog than " Android OS Enhancements". I'm staying on my current version unless I hear of an actual improvement. http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB415621#fbid=uwq-hZL0SiL

Any chance AT&T will be carrying this phone? I love the size of my Galaxy S3, but it's getting old and slow. The Z3 Compact appears to be the only high end phone with great battery life coming out at this size (battery is 50% larger than Galaxy Alpha). It's reviewing very well and I hope you plan to carry it.

Per another thread (and various reports on around the net) the 4.3 update was live and then was pulled due to reported issues. For those of you that have upgraded, how's your battery life and are you experiencing any other problems? Other thread with links to reports of it being pulled: http://forums.att.com/t5/Android-Discussion-and-Support/Galaxy-s3-android-update-to-4-...

The issue is that the sender is choosing to send the text to everyone, so unless you block unknown numbers, you can't opt out.
