If you didn't have a contract saying you could connect to AT&T's network then how would it work? I mean the microcell connects to the internet but the internet connects to AT&T's network. I don't work for at&t so I cant speak officially. But even when connecting through the microcell you have to use their network. I mean without the at&t microcell you wouldn't be able to use an at&t phone. Its not that outrageous.

3g means it works with 3g phones. It really has nothing beyond that. The microcell takes your voice and transmits it over the internet, that is why you connect it to your modem.

Well my settings are holding strong on "disabled." Unfortuneatly it hasn't changed anything. I just had a call disconnect after 1 minute. Then I tried to call the person back only to be disconnected after 3 seconds.

Voice goes through the microcell and uses your minutes. Data will go through the microcell and use your MBs, unless connected to Wi-Fi I hope that's clear.

I just did the same and it appears to have stuck. I'm going to go back and test my old phone which was having massive issues. If this works then I think we should be offered jobs at AT&T.

The automatic hand off setting on our microcell won't stay disabled. They have even tried setting it on the back end. One person told me they knew about it and the tech teams were working to fix it. If you can confirm that your setting stayed then I'd love for them to check it again. Currently this is a list of all the solutions that I've tried. http://forums.att.com/t5/3G...

Just a thought have you checked the cable connecting the Microcell to your internet? Ours lost the tab that held it in and it would fall out occasionally.
