No, they did not. I was too small for any special service. They gave me an out of service credit and an apology. I switched to Vonage a few weeks later.

I am a restaurant owner and arrived at my place a 6 pm to find my phone disconnected. I had a billing matter (dispute) that I spoke to AT&T about four days ago. The rep told me I did not need to pay the bill yet, but to await contact from AT&T in five to ten days. They specifically said my service would not be suspended.
