ahall, I appreciate your problem. However, I had a really friendly guy, Jeff, in Detroit. Nice conversation, and he worked out a new deal for me. I've had ATT wireless and ATT DSL for about 15 years and Uverse TV and Internet since it became available about six years ago. Each year I have to call for a new promotion. OK, nice helpful guy. Only... $117 a month with no inst...

bsbuck, I've been through this forever. Annually, the promotion expires and you call for a new deal. Mine just came up too and I got Jeff to push DirecTV. Only problem is that $117 per month and $-0- installation deal, by the next day and my Order Confirmation, had become $390 a month and $196 one time charges including a $15 early termination fee. Among the things on my ...

I believe AT&T has recently removed caps, or maybe just for some. In any case, I've never encounted a cap issue with U-verse. I know Comcast has a data cap. In markets where Google moves in with fiber, you'll likely see some competitive pricing changes. As to TV channels, I would be delighted to pay by the channel, with ability to select my own channel mix. Probably aroun...

Mike, I don't know your vet, but you might cut him some slack. Lots of medical training but a lot less money than human doctors. Plus, unlike your personal physician, a vet can't ask your pet where it hurts or what other symptoms he has. And a lot of vets are more compassionate than doctors of people. A couple years ago we found a little kitten eating birdseed in our back...

mibrnsurg wrote: @FormerWillyb Unluckily, you'll be lucky to get $10/service if that, this time around. As ATT has put the brakes on any big discounts except 1st yr of DirecTV in 2 yr contract. This occured when ATT realized they had $17/mo/user higher costs than DirecTV. They tightened the discount fiasco and dropped a bunch of Uverse channels that DirecTV did not have. ...

Mike, sorry about the puppy. We're a cat house but animal friendly generally. Yes, computers are running the company, and this is just the beginning. If the $15 minimum wage happens, with its effect on pay rates that are at or near $15 now, we're going to see automation take over many jobs. Just try to talk to someone at Microsoft for example. That will be many, if not mo...

This IS an open forum, and I do have AT&T DSL service and pay my bill ON TIME, IN FULL, and have every month whenever I have been a customer. I have been a Bell South/ AT&T customer for around 15 years now, on and off (mostly on) and I think that is worth something. As a matter of fact I pay my bill in full even w...

Looks like the deals are the same as always. The best deal is to have a phone out of contract. Your monthly costs--which exclude phone amortization--are the lowest, and you get unlimted talk and text for a very low price. If you choose to finance via phone contracts--and this applies not just to AT&T, but to all carriers--you are going to pay a lot more than the retail pr...

Please let me add a similar concern. I don't answer any call that is not from someone in my contacts list (so the name shows up) or is an obvious rollover number from companies I do business with. Today, I started getting calls from [edited for privacy – please do not post personal information] . Out of curiosity, I looked it up and see it is some kind of known credit car...

I have an older 2-Wire 3800HGV-B. I've turned off the wifi in favor of an external 802.11n bonded 2 channel WAP, and that works just fine. Lack of VPN doesn't bother me, either. Logmein Hamachi is a powerful VPN for $29 a year. However, a little more configuration capability in the DHCP function would be really nice, like the ability to reserve an IP address, for example....

Vid30Jk. Actually it is not Microsoft's fault that we have a garbage guide system. MS made a junk product; AT&T bought it. And continues to use it. That makes it AT&S's fault. MS produced a bad product for cars, too, called SYNC, and Ford bought it. Difference, though, is that Ford listened to its customers, and is replacing the Microsoft product with another in its new m...
