Thanks again! I don't recall having to hold down the input button but that makes sense, to prevent accidental selection.

Thanks! I played around with it more last night and it seems to be working like it did before. I'm going to try entering the 960 code to enable the input button and see what happens.

I have a Genie HR44/700 receiver and RC72 remote control running a Sony Bravia 4K Ultra HD TV (model XBR55X850B). The remote was running the Genie and TV fine. Then... I was connecting the home theater and moving things around when I turned the Genie reciever off with the button on the front of it. I turned it back on. After connecting the home theater, I tried selecting ...

I recently got my HR44/700 and two clients installed. The wireless setup wrecked havoc with my other computer connections so that is out of the question and I'm gonna try the ethernet connection. Based on other discussions I've seen, I'm gonna do a "Restore Defaults" under the network settings. My questions needing clarification are: 1. Does the "Restore Defaults" action ...

Thanks, that's good to know since one of by sets (for now) is an OLD RCA model. What sort of device/cable/adapter am I looking for to make that Mini connection?

I'm in the queue to upgrade my current R16 DVR to a Genie and 2 wired minis. If I heard the support gal right, I'll be charged $10 a month for the high def. I'm way behind the bleeding edge of technology so I gotta ask...is there a standard def version of the Genie? I'm pretty sure all 3 TVs I have are not high def. That being the case, what can I expect?

I found a 182 page .pdf called "DirecTV_HDDVR_HR20-44.pdf" from a google search. Page 165 shows this, if I can convey it correctly: SWiM feed --> band stop filter --> SWiM -->Genie DVR --> TV V |--> Client1 |--> Client2 I assume the SWim feed is from the dish. Am I interpreting this correctly? Right now, I'm scheduled for the Genie upgrade next week. However, I'm still ge...

Thanks, everyone. This gives me an idea of what to expect. Any thoughts on the wireless clients that are supposedly in development?

Thanks. I'm just checking into it now and would definitely have a tech do the install. I'm trying to determine if the extra cabling for the clients would be worth the mess. From what I've read, those wouldn't be home runs from the dish to each client, but from some sort of "splitter" between the clients and the dish. Is that what the SWM is?

I'm contemplating an upgrade of my current DVR to a Genie with 2 clients, no internet or other wacky stuff. I'm currently wired thusly: Dish --> DVR --> TV How would a Genie installation run? Something like this? Dish --> Genie DVR --> TV |--> Client1 |--> Client2

No takers? I found that I can restore a working internet connection by reapplying my profile settings through Netgear, thus saving a reboot.
