OK this is confusing. If I click on "Modify", when trying to upgrade my internet speed, it shows Max Turbo as the fastest tier available at my address and that's what I currently have. Yet at the bottom of the page it shows a Special Offer where I can save $10 if I upgrade to the Power tier. I added that to my cart and it allowed it, plus there's also a $99 one-time charg...

Here's to hoping that 2014 brings us 45Mbps....or maybe 300Mbps!

I just moved to Westerville (a Columbus suburb) and I currently have U-Verse 450 with Max Turbo internet. I live in a newer subdivision and my connection is FTTP. I would like to know when I can get the Power 45 tier please. When I lived in Cleveland, I had Cox cable and had their Premier internet 50/10 tier for a few years and, for the last year, I had their Ultimate tie...

Thanks texasbrit for the info. I hope WKYC gets the problem fixed soon as I would love to be able to watch the Olympics in perfect HD quality. Aside from the few local stations that are giving me problems everything else looks amazing and it's so much better quality than when I had ATT U-Verse. That was the main reason I went with DirectTv as I did a ton of research and t...

That's a great idea! My dish is accessible from one of the windows on the second floor so it won't be difficult to clean it with a Super Soaker.

That blue box is my gas meter. Thanks for the info about the rain causing the dish to go out. I guess I just have to live with it and hopefully it won't happen often but now I am not looking forward to winter and the possibility of snow collecting on the dish.

Well I think my setup is grounded properly (see pic). Here's what I have noticed over the past few weeks. Most of the HD channels look amazing but I have some picture problems with these channels in particular (NBC, ABC, FOX and my local PBS). For instance I have noticed that on my FOX HD (channel 8) shows such as Masterchef and Hell's Kitchen look amazing but when the 10...

Thanks for the responses guys! Well I don't know if the dish is grounded as it was installed by DirecTv installers. What do I look for to see if it's grounded? If this problem is caused by something at the Local Receive Facility how do I go about trying to get it fixed or can it be fixed?

I am still having a continuing problem with screen break-up / pixelization on some HD channels, primarily my local HD channels in the Cleveland, Ohio area. The worst station is my local PBS channel and here's a video of the problem I am experiencing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsdfRjJmRjQ&feature=youtu.be I have had two separate techs visit and each one said something...

I am still experiencing some video/audio problems but just with some of my local HD channels. I posted my signal strengths in this thread. My 99(s) and 103(s) readings seem a bit low. Is this a problem? What's a good signal strength - anything above 90? Is a reading in the 50s or 60s a problem?

HDMI out from the HR-34 into my Sony CT-350 home theater receiver and then HDMI out from the Sony into my LG TV. The main problem is that there are some visual problems with my local channels, especially PBS. The picture will break up for a second or two and also the sound will dropout or get garbled for a second. This happens periodically, say maybe 5 times or so during ...
