HSPA+ is 4G. LTE is 4G. Until AT&T launches LTE service in NYC there is no way to make it miracuously work. For a listing of cities where LTE has launched, check here .

(I know I had to buy it in Apple Store to have unlocked and contract-free but I did what I did.) Return the device to BestBuy, it is still well within the return period. mgalim...

The thing I find interesting is that purplecow827 does not seem to think 1.5GB in the first week of the billing cycle is a large amount of data. That amount of data easily puts any user in the road to using at least 6GB of data per month which is a large amount of data over a month. If all smartphone customers were using similar amounts of data, could you imagine how sloo...

The point I was making is that likely FedEx simply "mis-placed" or lost the device. Stole implies and individual took the device. A company does not steal a device... individuals do. The OP is accusing a company of stealing their iPhone without any facts to back that up. [Per Guidelines : Keep it Relevant and Appropriate] . A simple statement of "FedEx lost my iPhone" wou...

Try removing and reinserting the SIM. Next thing I would try is a replacement SIM from AT&T... all else fails, then it's a hardware issue for Apple to address.

But it seems to only last for about 24 hours. Then it disappears and the only way to get it back on any of our devices is to reboot the 2wire router. Once a month would be okay but doing it every day is a big pai...

What you describe as actually happening sounds more like the preferred way for it to work than your preferred way. Why wouldn't a user want to see the most recent message instead of the oldest message in a thread? User preference I"m certain.... just not logical to me. That being said, did you upgrade from a previous iPhone? If so, did it work at you desire on the previou...

So you experienced this problem ordering an iPad from AT&T and you still ordered an iPhone (online or over the phone) instead of walking into an AT&T or Apple store and purchasing one? That seems kinda silly... and a little guillable to me. I also find it odd that FedEx stole your devices... that's pretty strong words to use unless you have some proof.

The messages must be sent as iMessage. iMessages show as blue bubbles in the messaging app. iMessage only works on iDevice running iOS5 and higher. If your friends/relatives with iDevices have not upgraded those devices to iOS5, then there is no way to use iMessage to communicate with them.

IMAP merely syncs the mail, what shows on one device shows on all device...

SMS does not use data. iMessage does... but it would be miniscule, we're talking 10k maybe per message. MMS does not use data, at least it's not counted against a data plan. Picture messages over iMessage do use data and could add up depending on how large the pictures being sent are.

Contact customer support, your account is not provisioned correctly for MMS. Most likely they have the incorrect IMEI number listed for your device. You should be able to update the IMEI via the OLAM.

A texting plan is recommended because the majority of folks that get a feature phone do a lot of texting. The freestyle is not a smartphone, therefore it does not require a data plan. As for whether it has Wi-Fi... the specs for the device should clearly state if it has Wi-Fi capabilities.
