The problem with this "solution" is it's hardly a solution for most people. If all you have is a TV with uverse and a soundbar, it works fine. If, like many people probably have, you also have a DVD player hooked up to the TV that happens to be the same brand as the TV (in my case, Samsung) this solution solves nothing.

Yes, preorder means that a copy is reserved for you...but it doesn't mean that it's reserved for you and guaranteed to be in your hands on release day. Preorder doesn't mean you get your copy on-time no matter where the copy is coming from; for example, say you preorder a 4s--the wareh...

In order to block funds on a credit card you need to dispute the charge as fraudulent. Since we signed contracts agreeing to pay the charges AT&T could simply show the signed receipts to our credit card company and we would still be responsible for it. Unfortunately.

Good story. I had the foresight to pre-order. I also have a job that doesn't offer me the opportunity to sit outside a store for an hour on a Friday morning. So I'm stuck waiting a couple weeks.

The one thing I haven't really seen discussed is the fact that AT&T had an abundance of pre-orders--a good majority of which will be subsuquently back-ordered for a couple weeks. Why in the world would they ship a bunch of units to all their stores when they have customers that have already paid for those very same items? Pros (for AT&T): In all likelihood they'll be on t...

With all the issues people have had online--including too many to count that ordered the first time it actually worked in the online store whose orders subsuquently were cancelled--I chose to go into an AT&T retail store and work with a CSR who could be certain everything was processed correctly. I went at 9:00 A.M. eastern, the moment the store opened, and pre-ordered in...

I actually have no horse in this race. I'm not getting white or 64 GB. I am not getting my iphone tomorrow--however, I was told that when I ordered. I've never expected differently. But, if I was lied to (look up the word, the OP was lied to) I would be upset about it. By archer coming on here sounding smug because the CSR wasn't intentionally doing it so it's not technica...

Incorrect again--a lie doesn't require intent--if you ask me for directions somewhere and I just pull directions out of nowhere, present them to you as truth, even though I don't know whether they're accurate or not--I may have given you the best information I had, that doesn't make it accurate. Fabricating something as truth is a form of lying. When someone submits a sta...

If told what is deemed the "most accurate" information, which then turns out to be completely inaccurate you have been lied to--whether it was known as a lie at the time or not. Portraying anything as truth that is not in fact truth is a lie. The person giving the information represents AT&T and told the original poster something that was untrue. Whether they knew it or n...

I pre-ordered my phone at the store the minute they opened last Friday (Eastern Time zone). It's now telling me that it is backordered and I'm probably looking at at least 2 weeks. If I wanted to go into the store tomorrow and try to pick one up would I be able to without having to go through the whole sign-up process?
