Thanks for the quick reply. The setup is as you described. The Netgear is assigned to an IP out side the RG's stomping grounds. The services I want to host are exactly what you named. HTTP, FTP & SMTP. Im thinking I should only open up port 80, 21 & 25. correct? More than that seems like I'd be putting the server at undo risk. Rick

I have 2Wire 3801HGV and have installed a Netgear N750 router behind it so that I could get the faster 1000/kbps between my LAN and wireless PCs. Also the wireless needed to be stronger with the N.
