Hi Malik007, correct, data is only included in the $50 monthly plan if you have a basic feature or quick messaging phone.

How's it going Ilikewireless? I'm on the $50 unlimited plan, and yes the 911 fee will be deducted from the account balance, which is why I occasionally refill with a little extra just to make sure I have enough for the fee.

If and when I ever need to call CS again I wouldn't mind dealing with reps such as aristizzle and coolrhyme, you both seem like friendly and genuine people But to expand on coolrhyme's "love" theme I'd like to give props on the reception that I get, granted Motorola has a strong track record with call quality but the signal I get from AT&T's network is crystal clear. Does...

Are you in a good coverage area with a strong signal? Because if not then that can drain the battery as the phone has to constantly search for the best signal and that'll take up power. Other than that I'd suggest you call a Motorola tech and see what they have to say. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Have you tried visiting the Motorola forums? If you do go there and post your situation seek out Mark, he's one of the forums manager and a very knowledgable person. Hope that helps.

LOL! I'd like to give more love the CS coolrhyme, but as I said before I've seldom had to deal with them I will also mention the rep I dealt with in store when I first had my phone activated, I was in and out in about 5 minutes, she was quick and efficient, so it's been all good for from the beginning.

When you first signed up for the monthly unlimited plan you needed at least $50 to pay for the first month, and upon activation that amount was deducted from your account. You will need an additional $50 to cover the next month. You can call customer service to change your rate plan or you could do it automatically from your phone by dialing 611.

The only time AT&T asked for my social security number is when a store rep was checking to see if I qualify for a post paid plan.

It's been awhile but I'm fairly certain they didn't ask for my social security.

I'm not sure about online but when I activated my phone in store the only information they asked was the usual stuff like name and address.

From 611 after the recording says more options, or number 4 on the keypad, and starts to read off the list I hit 0 to get customer service.

Hi ksangel, when I switched from the $75 talk, text and 200MB plan to the new $50 monthly plan I just had to make sure I had at least $50 in my account when I made the change. So if you have a sufficient amount I think you should have no problems.
